Liniar became the first uPVC systems company to successfully achieve formal registration to the CORGI Fenestration scheme in 2017 – giving its customers access to the most recognised consumer mark in industry. This means that the consumer can rest assured, not only of the utmost quality of the products they are buying, but also the quality and professionalism of the installation by a qualified installer – guaranteeing peace of mind and a beautiful finish to their home.
The British Fenestration Rating Council is the UK’s most trusted rating council for verifying the energy performance of windows and doors. Genuine BFRC rated products are labelled with a small official sticker on the inside of the frame and often a large rainbow label on the surface of the window or door: clear, visible proof that they will perform as promised. The BFRC energy rating label looks very similar to other rating schemes which you may have seen on a range of products, from domestic white goods to car tyres. The bandings on the BFRC label are the result of a complex calculation which takes into account a standard size of window, standard building occupancy and average climate conditions. Windows and doors with an energy rating of 0 or higher (Ratings A to A++) are considered to be energy positive. As with all energy rating labels the performance indicated provides a method of comparing one product against another.
Secured by Design is a police-backed initiative, with this status being awarded to products designed with exceptional security features as their main priority. Our Liniar products qualify to hold this certification and are tested to meet the requirements of the Association of Chief Police Officers.
The BBA (British Board of Agrement) is the UK’s major authority offering approval of construction products, systems and installers. Having this accreditation proves that the product can do what it claims and demonstrates a product’s fitness-for-purpose which is fundamental to its integrity in the marketplace. This removes the void between ‘you can take my word for it’ and underperforming the product. BBA Certificates are recognised by architects, engineers and specifiers as an impartial and unbiased review on the performance of products, and Liniar holds a certificate for the whole window system.
All our windows are manufactured to achieve a U-Value of 1.4W/m2K, which is an ‘A’ energy rating. Although doors do not have a comparable rating scale, our doors are manufactured to the same high glazing specification as our windows.
Liniar has been certified for the BSI (British Standards Institute) ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS).
This accreditation is part of the British Standards system and shows the product has been subjected to a series of tests, demonstrating enhanced security performance, air and water tightness and wind loading to BS6375 for peace of mind.
BS EN 12608:2016 is the standard of quality, consistency and performance required for UPVC extruded hollow profiles. Products are regularly tested to ensure that they continue to meet these standards.
